Abstract

 

This researchis aimed to determine the financial literacy of students of Faculty of Economics in terms of their understanding of the credit card. The results show that two out of ten respondents who knew about the interest rate they paid. The explanation for this research relates to the fact that most credit card bills were paid by their parents and even their credit card applications were approved because of their parent’s application, so that they thinkthere is no need to know things like interest rate and others. In addition we found that these students have low financial literacy as only two out of ten students who understand things about basic finances.

Analysis of The Relationship Between Economic Freedom and Economic Growth In Indonesia (J)

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find the relationship between economic freedom and economic growth in Indonesia from 2004-2014. Economic freedom represents the institutional reform in a country. The result indicates that   economic freedom leads to   economic growth. Market liberalization is a necessary institutional reforms for the country that is concerned in increasing economic growth. Economic freedom is a key component in the effort to improve the economic and social welfare. Moderate degree of freedom required in the political and economic areas to improve growth. Institutional framework of the community plays a role in long-term economic performance. Economic freedom will boost economic growth and market economic system is a very powerful engine of innovation that is the trigger of economic growth. Free market and the protection of property rights would increase economic growth.

The Effect of Government Capital Expenditure and Private Investment on Social Welfare (J)

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is: 1. Examine and analyze the effect of government capital expenditure on social welfare; 2. Examine and analyze the effect of private investment on social welfare. Technical analysis is path analysis, regresion OLS is used with data panel. Exogenous variables are government capital expenditure and private investment. Endogenous variables are output, labor usage and social welfare,  where output and labor usage  are  mediator  variables.  The  statistical  results  show  that  all  relationship have  a  significant.  Private investment have  more  effect  on  social  welfare  rather  than  goverment capital  expenditure. There  are  two empirical finding from this study: First finding, there is subtitution effect between private investment and labor usage, more private investment, less labor usage. On the other hand, there is output effect between output and labor usage, more output more labor usage. Total effect of private investment on labor usage is positive. Second finding, labor usage have a negative relationship to social welfare, higher labor usage, lower social welfare.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of taxation education on the tax knowledge and its impact on tax fairness and tax compliance of handicraft SME sector in Indonesia. Abstract

This research is aiming at arranging a policy of affordable and high quality education in Tulungagung Regency in 2015-2018. This research was conducted in primary and secondary levels of education in six districts in Tulungagung Regency. The sources of data were secondary data, survey, in-depth interview, and Focus Group Discussion (henceforth: FGD). The research findings showed that the resources in Primary and Secondary Education Office of Tulungagung Regency have not met the Minimum Standard of Service yet. There was also a gap between the real condition and the expected condition. The strategy to implement the policy of affordable and high quality education in Tulungagung Regency in 2015-2018 was needed by increasing the school operational fund, improving the productivity of human resources. Thus, the service quality and relevancy in the primary and secondary education is getting better, improving the affordability of the schools, improving the management and teacher placement based on their capacity.
